Bet √: NFL Ranking$

Already dreading the thought of digging for your favorite part of the turkey stuffing as the creepy cousin you haven't seen in three years eyes your girlfriend from the other side of the table?

You're also probably still sick to your stomach because you bet on the Dolphins to cover the three-point spread vs. the Jagaurs on Sunday morning. But it should be clear to you by now that the Dolphins, who are 1-5 SU and ATS, are as good as fried just six weeks into the NFL season. And you should stop betting on them because the league appears to be wide open this season, and you have plenty of betting options elsewhere.

So, let's take a 'Bet √' of our Top-10 NFL Power Rankings - put together from a betting perspective to help you make smart NFL bets.

1.) Cowboys: That's six ATS covers for a very good, not great, team which the market is closing in on fast. And you should be tracking money lines to back arguably the best team in the NFC -- despite their head coach. (Note: I don't think coaches matter much, especially in the NFL.

2.) Packers: Remember when Green Bay lost to New Orleans? The Packers have been on an ATS tear over the last several weeks, but could be a product of a soft schedule, so far. Use caution when betting on Green Bay -- especially as we get deeper into the season.

3.) Steelers: Buy cheap, while you can, on a legit AFC title contender. Future prices will definitely go up when the Steelers roll up a few more wins.

4.) Bucs: Right here, right now. But do you trust the Bucs defense enough to back them long-term? Don't let Richard Sherman answer that, please.

Shielding issues: Are the Bucs, despite a strong start to the season, good enough on defense to repeat as Super Bowl champs?

5.) Bills: The best of the AFC East - but use caution when backing the Bills if they're not playing the Jets, Dolphins or Patriots.

6.) Rams: Class of an all-of-a-sudden not so sexy NFC West. You should think twice before going to the cash money window to bet on an overrated coach with a starting quarterback who will be stepping into high-pressure playoff situations in due time.

7.) Cardinals: See above. Do you really trust Kyler Murray with Arizona down two touchdowns in the fourth quarter of a playoff game?

8.) Raiders: Solid dark horse, along with the Steelers, to win the AFC -- and you can probably get a nice $ right now. Note: Their former coach didn't take arguably the most talented roster in the conference with him - when he resigned. Keep catching them as underdogs, too.

9.) Chargers: Like the Raiders, a strong roster from top to bottom; never mind a very well coached team that got caught in a bad spot last week.

10.) Ravens: Enjoy the publicity ride, if you're a Lamar Jackson fan. Teams built like the Ravens, namely on offense, struggle to score enough points when it matters most. Hint: In the playoffs.
