Bet It: Heat vs. Nets (Over 211.5)

Despite coach Eric Spoelstra continuing to bet that plenty of Heat fans will eventually fall in love with his team, if not buy up courtside seats in Miami, no matter what the cost, betting anything right now on the Heat, 2-1 straight up in their last three games, is risky biz including tonight on the road vs. the Nets.

The Nets (-1), who turned their roster upside down after trading Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, are 1-2 straight up since the trade deadline, but the losses came against worthy opponents in the Sixers and Knicks.

So, let's give Spencer Dinwiddie, Mikal Bridges and Nic Claxton a bit more time to cut it up with a healthy Seth Curry. FYI: The Nets could develop into one of the best defensive teams in the league.

While lingering in the Eastern Conference, Miami (+1), which on a lot of nights resembles a G-League squad unworthy of any kinda of seats requiring your cash, will be without Tyler Herro (knee), Victor Oladipo (ankles), and Kyle Lowry (knee) tonight vs. the Nets.

Coming off a home loss to Denver, a couple nights after surviving in OT at Orlando and needing a last-second, game-winning dunk at home vs. Houston last Friday night, the Heat will be playing for the fourth night in six days.

Miami, which did nothing before the NBA trade deadline to improve an uninspiring offense, especially when Herro isn't on the floor, continues to bet on Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo on most nights to fill much of the stat sheet. So, it's hard to bet on the Heat in this spot.

The Nets, for all their instability on offense right now, did manage to score 106 points against the Knicks on Monday night.

My Pick: We're betting against the market here and going over the game total of 211.5

Bet on plenty of points in Brooklyn: Bet on the Heat vs. Nets to go over 211.5 points tonight.
