Betting On A Better Heart: 4 Ways To Improve Your Heart (For Any Kind Of Game)

With millions of people getting ready to watch the big game, if not prepping for a party lathered in pizza and chicken wings, your heart might be the last thing on your mind when Patrick Mahomes throws his next touchdown pass.

However, it's American Heart Month and
heart disease, one of the main causes of death worldwide, will definitely tackle you for a lose, if you don't protect your heart like most Americans protect their pro football.

Here are 4 ways to strengthen your heart and improve your lifestyle, while staying ahead of the rest of the playing field. (Note: You don't have to be a pro athlete to have a healthier heart.)

Move It

You may not have the speed or lung capacity of Jalen Hurts, yet, but face it: your heart is a muscle. And exercise is a super way to strengthen your heart. So, figure out what your heart rate is and  start moving with cardiovascular-improving exercises such as walking, running, swimming and cycling.

The impact of exercising (on a regular basis) will improve everything from your circulation to your blood pressure and heart rate levels -- in the long run.

Keep Moving: Running is just one form of exercise to keep a healthy heart.

Balance it out

You definitely don't need a nutritionist watching over you every second of the day, but keeping a balanced diet will likely have you feeling like you can tackle Travis Kelce, before you turn off the lights at night. Just adding a few more fruits (apples) and vegetables (carrots) to your daily eating routine, if not healthy proteins (salmon), will improve your heart in the long run. It will also make your digestive system and immune system feel like a brand new football.

Wing it like a pro, not a starved rookie

It's no 'Super' secret: NFL players and in some cases coaches, especially the meatier ones such as Jason Kelce and Andy Reid, love to eat. But even though eating a large amount of food at your next Super Bowl party will be hard to resist, eating a lot of food at once can (1) Cause blood shifting from the heart to the digestive system (2) Faster and irregular heart rhythms, which can lead to a heart attack or heart failure -- no matter what time of the year it is. So, control your urge to eat all the wings!

Don't stress it

Whether or not your favorite NFL team wins the big game on Sunday, your life will go on - no matter the result. Tip: Don't stress about any missed tackles or kicks during the big game. Or any other game for that matter. Stressing over another dropped pass, or anything, really, can lead to a rise in blood pressure and accelerate your heart rate - IE: a heart attack. Living with stress can also be stressful for your heart. So, just chill and make sure you live with a healthy heart.

NFL Betting 101: 3 Basic Types Of Bets Bettors Will Be Able To Make On Chiefs vs. Eagles (Super Bowl LVII)

Super Bowl LVII, like all Super Bowl games, will generate millions of dollars in betting action as bettors of all levels make bets, whether it's money bet on the Eagles, Chiefs and/or Super Bowl LVII 's Total Points (Over/Under).

Whether you're planning to be at a Super Bowl LVII party or a sports book in Las Vegas, millions of dollars will be bet on the big game. With that in mind, here are 3 basic types of bets you will be able to make on Super Bowl LVII. (Please bet responsibly.)

Super Bowl LVII Point Spread

As of right now, the Eagles, consensus point spread betting favorites in most sports books, are (-1.5) to defeat the Chiefs (+1.5) in Super Bowl LVII.

Think the Eagles, the NFC'S No. 1 seed, are just too good for the Chiefs? If you bet the favorite in this spot, the Eagles, 2-0 against the spread in the NFC Playoffs this season, would have to win Super Bowl LVII by at least two points for you to win your bet.

On the flip side, if you think the underdog Chiefs, hobbled and all, are going to beat the Eagles or cover the spread, Kansas City, the AFC's No. 1 seed, would have to win Super Bowl LVII straight up or lose by exactly one point for you to win your bet. The Chiefs went 1-1 ATS (against the spread) in the AFC Playoffs. Note: There is also a commission vig (juice) you will have to pay (Ex: Eagles -125, Chiefs -110) when making a point spread bet. (Please check with your favorite sports book for updated odds.)

Super Bowl LVII Total (Over/Under)

Don't have a strong enough opinion on Super Bowl LVII, to make a bet on the Eagles or Chiefs? The Over/Under, also known as the Total and set at 50 right now, is a number set by oddsmakers in accordance with the combined number of points they think will be scored in Super Bowl LVII.

So if you think the Total number of points will land at 49 points or less, you can bet the Under Total. If you think Super Bowl LVII will be a high scoring game, you can bet the Over Total will surpass 50 points. (Note: If the Total (Over/Under) lands on 50, you don't win or lose your bet if you bet the Total.)

Super Bowl LVII Moneyline

NFL moneyline bets are very popular with bettors, especially for the Super Bowl, when millions of casual bettors are enticed to bet on the game. With a moneyline bet, the team you bet on, in this spot the Eagles or Chiefs, would just need to win Super Bowl LVII.

Without a spread (to alter your money risk), there is a positive value (-110) or (-130) attached to the bet you make - in this case, Super Bowl LVII. For example: If you want to make a moneyline bet on the Eagles (-125) you have to bet $130 to win $100. (Note: If at -125). If you want to make a moneyline bet on the Chiefs (-110), you would have to bet $110 to win $100 (Note: If at -110). (Please check your favorite sports book for all updated spreads, moneyline odds and more.)

Getting In Line For Super Bowl LVII: 3 Early Things You Should Do (From A Betting Perspective) To Help You Prepare For Chiefs vs. Eagles

Thousands of dollars bet shortly after Chiefs vs Eagles in Super Bowl LVII became official, including several high five-digit bets at select sportsbooks in Las Vegas, flipped the opening line in favor of the Eagles (-2.5), but bettors have shortened the line in recent days by backing the underdog Chiefs (+2).

This year's Super Bowl, which will be the 14th meeting between two No. 1 seeds in the big game's history, and the first since the Eagles defeated the Patriots in 2018, features the NFC's top-seeded Eagles (16-3), a pedestrian 10-9 ATS on the season, taking on the Chiefs (16-3), who limped past the Bengals as short chalk in the AFC title game, after failing to cover as home favs against the Jags in the divisional round.

Kansas City, hobbled and all, was a healthy (+450) before the season started to win Super Bowl LVII, so their trip to Arizona is little surprise. The Eagles, who punched their ticket to Super Bowl LVII after outscoring two NFC playoff opponents by a combined score of  69-14, and cashed as home favorites in back-to-back weeks, are 10-7 ATS with Jalen Hurts at starting QB this season.

Fresh off of toying with the 49ers in the NFC title game, after having their way with the Giants in the divisional round, the pre-season longshot Eagles, but for late-season stumbles vs. the Saints and Cowboys, have faced little resistance in recent weeks, while playing with the lead (for the most part), despite Hurts reportedly still nursing a shoulder injury.

It will be interesting to see if the Eagles bet on Hurts, playing in his first Super Bowl, if they fall into an early hole and need to air it out vs. the Chiefs inside State Farm Stadium?

But will Mahomes be healthy enough to help the Chiefs keep up with the Eagles? Will he need to be at 100%, considering KC has a defense capable of clipping the Eagles?

As of right now, most sports books have the Eagles (-2) as short favorites over the Chiefs to win the big game. The point total is sitting at or around (49.5). Still, these betting lines and odds will likely change, so check out your favorite sports book to stay updated on all.

Here are 3 Things You Should Do (From A Betting Perspective) To Prepare For Chiefs vs. Eagles. After reading this entire blog post:

🏈 Know Your 'Backup Plan'Knowing where the backdoor is on Super Bowl Sunday might help you if all the chicken wings are gone before halftime, but it will do nothing for you when it comes to betting on Chiefs vs. Eagles. Study, Study and Study right until kickoff of the big game, if you have to do so. It will not only help you stay ahead of all the Super Bowl bettors (a lot of them casual bettors who normally wouldn't be betting on NFL games) but also get you to know Chad Henne and Gardner Minshew a little closer. Please. Do. Your. Homework.

🏈 Be Patient: Got a backup plan? Now, please apply your ability to be patient. The Super Bowl LVII betting market will attract all kinds of bettors in the coming days, from bettors going to a sports book for the first time to Super Bowl party hounds betting on the big game because .. they enjoy green birds. So, whether you're looking to bet on the Eagles or Chiefs, I would suggest making your bet when it makes the most money sense. I always use the same shirt at two different stores example. You should apply it here. In short: Get. The. Best. Deal.

🏈 Be Responsible: You're not likely to run off to a secret island in Belize, even if you win your bet/bets on the Super Bowl. 😁 I realize the sports betting industry craze has attracted plenty of recreational bettors, but it takes given skills to become a successful pro sports bettor. Whether, your goal is set for the long-term or short-term. Set limits for yourself and use great judgement in managing your bankroll while betting on the big game, if not any other game or sporting event.

Know Your 'Backup Plan': Gardner Minshew just might find himself in the middle of State Farm Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 12, if something were to happen to Eagles star QB Jalen Hurts. (Note: All sports bettors should prepare as if they were taking a final exam - the Super Bowl included.) Photo Credit: NFL

Predictions For NFL Championship Sunday: Bet on 49ers being 'Good as Gould'; Chiefs, Mahomes walking through the Bengals

What's an NFL Championship Sunday without making any wild predictions, especially from someone who takes great pleasure in analyzing betting information, to help you make smart and educated bets?

Besides, short of Travis Kelce stealing Joe Burrow's helmet before kickoff and Nick Bosa getting lost on his way to Levi's Stadium, just about anything is possible on NFL 2023 Championship Sunday.

(You might want to check with your favorite sportsbook for updated lines, but the last time I refreshed the Chiefs (-1) and Eagles (-2.5) were favs to meet in Arizona on Feb. 12th.)

Here are my (serious) predictions with a betting slant, of course. Please bet responsibly and within reason. :

🏈 'Good as Gould': 49ers kicker Robbie Gould, who has never missed a playoff kick in 67 tries, will nail a game-winning FG as time runs out in regulation. So, go find yourself a Robbie Gould prop for Championship Sunday. After, you bet he never pays for another drink in the Bay Area.

🏈 'Hot for Arizona': Kansas City All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce is going to torch the Bengals all day. Kelce, who led all tight ends in catches (110), receiving yards (1,338) and touchdowns (12) this season, is a safe bet to catch a lot of passes on Sunday. And it doesn't matter, if its Patrick Mahomes or Chad Henne throwing Kelce the football. Please, take the over on Travis Kelce receptions on Championship Sunday.

🏈 Super Running Game: The 49ers were a ridiculous 14-1 SU and 12-3 ATS when they outrushed their opponents this season. The Eagles were 10-0 SU when they outrushed their opponents this season. All told, the 49ers and Eagles did a nice job of riding their respective offensive lines, while hiding their quarterbacks (Jalen Hurts, Brock Purdy). Only, I'm trusting the better coach in this spot (Kyle Shanahan) to get it done again and help the 49ers plan for Arizona. So, look for Christian McCaffrey to go off.

🏈 Chiefs 34, Bengals 20: Stop praying for Patrick Mahomes. I'm betting the Chiefs will be just fine vs. the Bengals, with or without their star quarterback on Championship Sunday.

🏈 49ers 23, Eagles 20: Bet on Robbie Gould wrapping up a physical NFC title game with a FG to send the 49ers to the Super Bowl, and get Kyle Shanahan one step closer to forever redemption.

Championship Sunday Betting Preview: Will Patrick Mahomes' injury really be a factor vs. the Bengals?

Championship Sunday is here and it has  enough storylines to make NFL bettors want to wrap their ankles in cold ice and search for Brock Purdy on their iPads, before praying for Patrick Mahomes if you have a big bet on the Chiefs to win it all .

That's after you store the number '13' in the back of your heads, and study the history of the Miami Dolphins for the next 72 hours, because somehow the Dolphins are going to work their way into how this year's Super Bowl is going to play out ..

Seriously, there are plenty of legit questions you should be pondering about Championship Sunday, only none of them should begin with Patrick Mahomes' high ankle sprain. That's just cold ice for your favorite ESPN talking head to throw all over an educated opinion.

Instead, you should be reminding yourself that the Bengals led the Bills by a score of 14-0 after the first quarter last Sunday. After, making sure you know the 49ers have won 12 straight games, including seven of those 12 games with Brock Purdy as their starting QB.

Now, go look up Pete Rose and Chad Henne.. but not necessarily in that order.

Happy Championship Sunday, everyone..

Playoffs: 7-1

Regular Season: 31-14-1

Overall: 38-15-1

49ers @ Eagles (-2.5, Total: 46): For all about the high ankle sprain heard around the world, little has been said about Jalen Hurts' sprained shoulder, including last week as the Eagles toyed with the Giants.

But 154 passing yards from Hurts, who may or may not be playing with a serious injury, won't get it done against a 49ers defense with more than enough depth to pressure Hurts and be able to run with Philly's speedy receivers all day. Hurts, who has had the luxury of playing from in front for much of the season, could be in for a rough day, if the Eagles offensive line gives in even for a sec .

I also suspect Kyle Shanahan finds a way to hide Brock Purdy as much as possible by putting the ball in the hands of Christian McCaffrey and Eli Mitchell, if completely healthy. San Francisco has been the better team for much of the season, not to mention has played a slightly tougher schedule as of late. Despite traveling across the country to play the NFC's No. 1 seed in an early game, the 49ers are just a slight road 'dog in this spot. Something smells really bad, so give me the points with the road underdogs, por favor.

Bengals (-1, Total: 47) @ Chiefs : So, the Bengals, who have won three straight games against the Chiefs, are suddenly 'America's Team' because they beat a fraudulent and overvalued Bills team on the road .. a week after surviving against the harmless Ravens.

I'm not sure, I'm buying all the hype behind the Bengals, who jumped out as slight road favs here because of the uncertainty surrounding Patrick Mahomes' high ankle sprain.

Only I'm betting Mahomes plays and Kansas City, home 'dogs for only the second time all season, will eventually wear down the Bengals with an effective running game and plenty of Travis Kelce. And if Mahomes can't go the whole way, I trust Chad Henne to do just enough to help send the Bengals packing for the hills. (Looking to connect or have a question/feedback? It would be great to hear from you on here.)

3 For NFL Bettors: Tips To Help Improve Your NFL Betting Strategy In Time For Championship Sunday

The arrival of (NFL) Championship Sunday means pro football bettors are one step closer to finding out what two teams will be packing up for the Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.

With only three games to bet on, including Sunday's conference title games and the Super Bowl, it also means this season's betting opportunities for NFL bettors are nearing the end. That, however doesn't mean it's too late to learn how to stay ahead of the game, while  improving your overall NFL betting strategy.

Here are 3 NFL betting strategy tips you can start using before Championship Sunday.

(Note: While I appreciate NFL stats and trends, I'm a strong believer in using my intuition and acumen when it comes to making NFL bets.

So, it's all in my stomach and mind for me, when deciding to bet on what NFL team is going to win the big game.

I've watched, covered and attended enough NFL games to know NFL stats and trends can be very misleading.)

1.) Read: You don't need to know Patrick Mahomes shoe size 😉, but reading up on Championship Sunday, or on any other NFL Sunday, is important if you're a pro football bettor, no matter your betting level, and expect to cash in on most of your bets 💰.

So, put your best Google 🔎 skills to use, while pouring over NFL player profiles, team schedules and team rosters on your way to discovering a little more about the Chiefs backup QB. It will all help you stay ahead of the game, while learning that Chad Henne is not only really old, but once played for the Miami Dolphins, a team you should look up before betting on this year's Super Bowl.

Especially, if you appreciate your wallet and Super Bowl history, which is filled with  average Joes ending up in Disney World. 😉

2.) Listen: Being all ears around the dinner table as another lame fishing trip is being planned is not going to help you cash your next NFL bet, or find out what Brock Purdy had for breakfast this morning  🍳 🍣. But using your given 👂👂skills to make sense of every time your favorite ESPN Radio host references how many games in a row the 49ers have won since America's favorite QB took over for Jimmy G., will definitely help you, when making bets on NFL games.

Yes, taking mental notes and applying your analytical skills to what you hear and feel will help your NFL betting strategy, and lead to winning more of your NFL game bets

Hint: Instead of sweating out why the 49ers are scheduled to play in the early game on Championship Sunday, despite having to travel from San Francisco to Philadelphia and play on a short week (kind of), you might want to search 'undefeated' and '12'.

3.) Study: Just like you would for an exam, if you really want to get out of the University of Miami before your 35th birthday and you enrolled at the university in Coral Gables in 2018, becoming a solid NFL bettor requires being prepared. Therefore, you should make plenty of time to study the material because every piece of content matters. Especially, if it adds value to the NFL bet you're thinking about making.

Don't know who the Bengals backup QB is? Who is the NFL coach partly responsible for blowing a big lead a few years ago in the Super Bowl? What is Joe Burrow's favorite 🍺 and cigar? Just kidding!

But putting it all together in your mind and applying it before making a bet on an NFL game is quite like acing a big test.

Especially, if you're prepared !!
