Sausage fest: 5 ways to cook your 'GameDay' sausages

Still burned out because your favorite football team got grilled last weekend? Cheer up and put some sizzle on your grill since kickoff will be here faster than you can spell s-w-e-e-t s-a-u-s-a-g-e-s.

So stop whining about the two-point conversion the Gators could not convert, or your wife's shorts, because here are five ways to cook up your Johnsonville sausages on 'GameDay'.

1.) BBQ on the grill: Poach to plump and juice up your Johnsonville sweet sausages - my favorite by the way - before putting them on a clean grill. Add your favorite spices to the Johnsonville sweet sausages and just watch them turn up golden before adding some peppers and onions to the grill. Pop open a cold ๐Ÿบ  and enjoy your whole Johnsonville sweet sausages. (Note: Don't pierce your Johnsonville sweet sausages.)

2.) Crumble and Pan-fry: In the mood for a nice breakfast - in case the Gators fall behind by two touchdowns after the first quarter? Just remove your Johnsonville sausages from their casings and crumble into a preheated pan and fry them until they turn golden brown. Add some scrambled eggs, pancakes and toast - and you might be out before your 'GameDay' turns to night.

3.) Sugar and Spice: Your college roommate, who is kind of weird, just called? No worries. Marinade your Johnsonville sausages with your favorite spices and brown sugar - before putting them on the grill and stewing with sauerkraut. Add some mojo juice, if you want to give your buddies an extra kick. Serve on baguettes or straight off the grill.

Turn it up: Johnsonville sausages are ideal for 'GameDay'.

4.) Apple pie: Looking to get your 'GameDay' crew in a good mood with a sweet starter? Grill your Johnsonville sausages until crisp golden and cut them up - before laying out apple-fused sauce on the side. They're easy to make and will have everyone cheering before kickoff.

5.) Stew it up: Feeling ๐Ÿ’ฏ creative with what to do with your Johnsonville sausages? Grill your Johnsonville turkey sausages while prepping a stew of beans, hot peppers, onions and cherry tomatoes.

Bet √: In the 'Books' NFL review

Pat McAfee, every sports bettor's new favorite ex-NFL punter, and mine, held nothing back while openingly rooting for the Packers to make one final defensive stand (one word punctuation before a passive apology, included) during his appearance on ESPN's MNF' Megacast' hosted by Peyton and Eli Manning.

McAfee getting millions of backers, including himself, closer to the cash window on live TV - thanks to a Green Bay (-12) win as a home favorite - was over the top betting content for a league rapidly embracing who slumps on their couch to watch a Lions vs. Packers game on Monday night. And that's enough to start erecting a statue of McAfee outside of every sportsbook in America.

Eli's astute observation on why a driving offense that draws an opposing defense offsides from their opponent's five-yard-line only picks up 2.5 yards, while getting sent back five yards if they commit a false start infraction (from the same spot), left him wondering "it doesn't seem right."

"(It's) .. not exactly a fair bet (to me)," said the Manning with the smaller forehead.

Little seems fair after two weeks of NFL action - especially if you're an NFL bettor still lamenting the Dolphins getting fried as short home 'dogs; the Cowboys, cashing ATS for the second straight week as a road 'dog and Aaron Rodgers closing the Week 2 books by making sure the home teams playing on TNF and MNF combined improved to a perfect 4-0 straight up this season.

Let's take a 'Bet ✓' and figure out who is going forward and backwards. Note: All ranks are based on betting value with a given team - in my opinion.)

1.) Cowboys: Plus depth on both sides of the ball; keep riding them as long as it takes for the market to catch up. And you spot value.

2.) Steelers: See above. You will find plenty of value to spot the Steelers, who will turning into a wrecking crew behind a reworked OL and young star RB before long. Bet on it - especially after a defeat.

3.) Raiders: Hello .. My name is Derek Carr. A slew of offensive options - even without their customary featured RB. Over the top.

4.) Packers: Remember when .. Aaron Rodgers lost in Week 1? Super Bowl fit, if they can cover a few holes on defense. Pile up on those SU bets.

5.) Bills: Enough pieces to toy with the AFC East. Problem is when they step out of division long- term. Use smart bet acumen to track the Bills lines on a week-to-week basis.

Gold standard: Pat McAfee opening rooting for the Packers on ESPN's Monday Night Football 'Megacast' was a straight up winner for a league rapidly embracing the sports betting industry.

6.) Panthers: Dark horse in the NFC - revamped QB and Top-5 defense included. Plenty of chances to catch value before the market catches up on the Panthers.

7.) Buccaneers: Not a sure bet just because of Tom Brady. Defense = trending down. And you should pounce if you're keeping track.

8.) Chargers: Penalties and an inability to routinely put pressure on the opposing QB just might spoil the greatness of a franchise player in Justin Herbert. 'Under' might be in play for much of the season.

9.) 49ers: A creative two-quarterback system - stretch the creative - that will have to carry the load while ills in the backfield and secondary are being repaired. Holding steady.

10.) Rams: A work in progress, especially in the middle of their defense, but trending up. Key those @ home 'under' plays.

11-15.) Patriots, Browns, Broncos, Chiefs and Cardinals.

Bet √: College Football (Bet) Power Rankings

A-L-A-B-A-M-A puts on their pants just like every other college football team, and perhaps might not be able to cover the number on a regular basis in 2021 - especially on the road.

Oregon, who should remain on a bettor's radar as long as the Pac-12 public perception exist, is quite a healthy CFP contender, no matter what ills the rest of the Pac-12. Penn State, an 'under' the radar player, and Oklahoma, an 'over' the top player, shouldn't be faded.

And Manny Diaz should be wise to keep a couple cans of tuna handy - after the Hurricanes lost to Michigan State as chalk at Hard Rock Stadium. No cat required.

Let's take a 'Bet √' of the (Bet) Power Rankings after the Week 3 results.

(Note: These are all teams I've actually seen and started studying them before the start of the season) :

1.) Alabama: Plenty of leaks on defense - especially trying to stop the run and avoiding the big pass plays. Be careful trusting the 'Tide long-term with your $$.

2.) Georgia: NFL Sunday players all over the board. The Bulldogs will continue to light up a scoreboard near you - no matter who the QB is this week.

3.) Oregon: Quirky team mascot aside, the Ducks are physical on both sides of the ball and will put the public's perception of the Pac-12 to rest by season's end. Bet on it.

4.) Iowa: The Hawkeyes dominance on defense has leaked into 2021 with three touchdowns allowed all season. Let's meet under the boardwalk.

5.) Oklahoma: Holding steady at the SU cash window. But there is something about their QB that should be concerning to players going forward. Use caution when siding with the Sooners.

6.) Penn State: Dark horse title contender with a very good game day coach who makes all the pieces work - more often than not. A classic 'under' team who scores just enough to stay relevant. Move'em up on your betting board.

7.) Texas A&M: Banged up squad .. beating up on inferior competition. Depth will likely be a serious issue for the Aggies moving forward. Sell while you can.

8.) Ohio State: Trust a competent coaching staff will steer the Buckeyes back into national consciousness. But still a lot of holes to patch on defense to be considered a serious CFP contender with bettors.

9.) Cincinnati: The cute outfit you can keep wearing to church .. and even your long lost cousin will have a complement or two. But in the long run it will fade out. So, will the Bearcats and their Disney script.

10.) Florida: The power suit your girlfriend will ask you to keep handy because she will likely want you to wear it again for the holidays. After a run to the cleaners. Just like the Gators, who have a few things to iron out but should be taken seriously. Very seriously.

11-20: Notre Dame, Clemson, Ole Miss., Iowa State, BYU, Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina and UCLA.

Tuna Roll: Manny Diaz better keep a couple cans of tuna handy - after watching the Hurricanes lose as home favs to Michigan State at Hard Rock Stadium.

Bacardi Rum & TDs: 5 Bacardi Rum drink recipes to turn up your game day

Bacardi Rum drink recipes and football game day(s) mix like Tom Brady and Super Bowl rings.

Whether you're rooting for a touchdown or sweating out a booth review, the smoothness and mild texture of Bacardi Rum drink recipes are perfect to avoid having to call 'Timeout' in the middle of the third quarter. And instead have plenty of time to enjoy your favorite Bacardi Rum drink recipe without having to worry about a late whistle.

Here are 5 Bacardi Rum drink recipes which will definitely earn you MVP honors on game day:

1.) Bacardi Rum & Coke: Don't want to miss the Dolphins first pass of the game? Go long with the quick, simple and sweet tradition of a Bacardi Rum & Coke. Just pour one part Bacardi Rum and 3/4 of a Coke in a long glass and aim for the end zone. Add more ice to your Bacardi Rum & Coke if it's hot, or more Bacardi Rum, and less Coke, if you're in the mood for overtime.

2.) Bacardi Rum Cuba Libre: Did you wear your guayabera to the tailgate party in Miami? Stay inbounds with a Cuba Libre, the national drink of Cuban independence. Add Bacardi Rum (Dark) to a tall glass with 3/4 ice and juice from two lime wedges. Finish preparing your Cuba Libre by dropping the lime wedges in the glass and stiring it gently. Your Cuba Libre will be so on- point, you're going to let out a coรฑo when Tua scores another game day touchdown.

Spice it up: Bacardi Rum Superior is the perfect score for your Rum Punch.

3.) Bacardi Rum Mojito: Hot over a silly fumble? Cool off with a minty Mojito. Crush - really crush - 12 mint leaves and the juice from 1/2 a lime in a tall glass. Pour in two tablespoons of simple syrup, 1 1/2 oz. of your Bacardi Rum of choice and enough club soda and ice to fill the glass. Stir your Mojito gently and garnish with a lime wedge and sprig of mint. Good luck having just one Mojito before halftime.

4.)  Bacardi Rum Banana Daquari: Looking to cheer up your date? Banana and Bacardi Rum go so well together having more than one is almost as guaranteed as Tom Brady throwing another touchdown pass. Add 2 oz. of Bacardi Rum, 2 banana and 1 1/2 oz. lime juice, 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 cup of crushed ice to a blender. Blend your Banana Daquari until smooth. Garnish with a cherry and umbrella - especially if your date can't get over the game.

5.) Bacardi Rum Punch:  Still hot over the pass interference call on your favorite player. Or the lousy brunch? Chill as if you were on the beach while watching the game with a refreshing Bacardi Rum Punch by using your favorite Bacardi Rum, or a combo of Bacardi Gold, Bacardi Black or Bacardi Spiced Rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, cranberry juice, and grenadine - to add a sweet touch and red vibe to your Bacardi Rum Punch.

Bet √: NCAAF Week 3

#1 Alabama (-14.5) @ #11 Florida smells the sexiest of the Week 3 college football slate - with non-conference games like Auburn @ #22 Penn State (-6.5) and  Michigan St. @ #24 Miami (-8) also drawing some attention.

Let's take a 'Bet √' of a few of the Week 3 college football games which caught our eyes:

#1 Alabama (-14.5) @ #11 Florida: 'Bama (2-0), off two strolls through the park, is laying more than two touchdowns in this spot - their first legit road trip of the season. And they will have to figure out the Gators (2-0) two-headed offensive attack with a banged up middle of their defense - no matter who is behind center for Florida. Hopefully, you're ready to use smart bet acumen and intuition when deciding what team you will bet in this spot.

Michigan St. @ Miami (-8): Michigan St. : Tricky to figure out. Especially if you're a newbie to betting college football games. But 'Bet √' will try to help you spot a winner here. Michigan St. (2-0) has ran up impressive offensive numbers - 40 points per game - against inferior competition to start the season. Now, they travel to South Florida for an early kickoff against a UM team with a very good defensive line. The Spartans secondary also showed flaws in their opener vs. Northwestern. And here comes D'Eriq King. Miami (1-1), eating sushi for breakfast and sleeping in their own Coral Gables beds for two weeks now after getting schooled by Alabama (whoopy), has its season on the line against a non-conference opponent from an inferior conference to boot. Use your intuition and recent history (what you've seen) to decide a winner in this spot. And get to the cash window.
